Newquay Town Council’s Environment Service is dedicated to improving the appearance of Newquay by managing Town Council assets, infrastructure, and open spaces to deliver facilities and services of a good or excellent standard. Our goal is to create a safer, thriving, and prosperous town that residents and visitors can take pride in enhancing wellbeing through a naturally diverse, beautiful, and healthy environment rich in wildlife.
Who we are & What we do
The Environment Service team is responsible for maintaining footpaths and open spaces in and around Newquay. They routinely care for key areas such as the Killacourt®, Eothen, Piazza, Mount Wise Gardens, and the Marcus Hill estate. Their work includes introducing new planting schemes, installing planters throughout the town, and addressing environmental and horticultural issues that fall outside Cornwall Council’s remit.
While much of their work follows a scheduled maintenance plan, the team also responds to reactive tasks and relies on reports from the public, so if you spot something that needs attention, please get in touch.
The Environment Service also oversees the Enforcement Team, who monitor and enforce regulations on dog fouling, dog bans, littering, fly-tipping, and more.
