The Resources Directorate leads the Council’s core corporate and community‑facing services, bringing together Democratic Service, Events, and the Library & Visitor Information Service under a single strategic umbrella. Through strong governance, well‑managed civic processes and inclusive public services, the Directorate supports effective decision‑making, community participation, and high‑quality engagement with both residents and visitors. Its teams deliver everything from committee management and civic administration, to coordinating town events and running Newquay’s library and visitor information hub. Guided by the Director of Resources, the Directorate ensures these diverse functions operate consistently, transparently and in line with the Council’s strategic goals.
